About Me

My work is inspired by nature and the art of the impressionists.  I have a passion for nature and my art reflects this with a focus on landscapes and animals. In addition to using photography to depict the beauty of the natural world, I also interpret nature on canvas with oil paints.

I currently live in Massachusetts where I was born and raised.  For several years I moved to Florida where I worked first as a zookeeper and then as a high school biology teacher.  I returned to Massachusetts where I continued to teach high school for several years and now work in educational publishing.  The influence of my life experience can be seen in my work in images of both Florida and Massachusetts.

 

I designed Simply Dunn Art with the idea that art should be accessible to everyone, and not just something that belongs in a gallery.  This is why I not only sell my original paintings here, but also prints, tote bags, journals and notebooks, and canvas gallery wraps.
